01. Initial Contact
Families interested in coming to Tulip Tree Pediatric Counseling can call the front office or fill out the online interest form. Laura will schedule an assessment appointment with you. She will get your child’s age and a brief understanding of your concerns.
Parents and caregivers will be able to discuss their child's needs more in-depth with Laura during an assessment appointment.
You will find many of your questions answered on our "Frequently Asked Questions" page.
**Please note that due to the location of our office, Tulip Tree Pediatric Counseling, LLC is located on the second floor of a historic home. As a result, clients and their caregivers will need to be able to navigate one flight of stairs and a small set of stairs up onto the porch. We do not have ramps or an elevator.

02. Assessment
The assessment will begin with your child taking a 20-30-minute tour of Tulip Tree Pediatric space with Laura. She will spend some time getting to know your child’s unique personality. Next, she will arrange a time to meet with parents to get an idea of the concerns and needs of the child. This may need to be done at a separate time or at the same appointment, depending on the age of the child.
Our home-like office is a favorite part of our client’s experience. The comfort and safety is an important part of your experience at Tulip Tree Pediatric Counseling. We hope you will find a way to make yourself at home!

03. Counseling
If Tulip Tree Pediatric Counseling seems to be a good fit for counseling for your child, Laura will schedule four visits with you. At the end of three visits, she will meet again with you on the fourth visit as a parent/caregiver to discuss progress and further care.
Upon our initial visit, Laura will talk with parents/caregivers about needs and address concerns. During therapy sessions, you are welcome to enjoy quiet in our waiting area or step out and explore the businesses or local parks that Stayton has to offer.
